Mar. 2024 – Our bioresorbable cardiac devices have been selected to compete in this year’s national STAT Madness competition, an online tournament run by the STAT health news site to select the top biomedical innovation or discovery from the past year.

Jul. 2023 – Our collaborative research paper on fully bioresorbable transparent microelectrode arrays has been published on Science Advances. Big congratulations, Zhiyuan and the team! This work has been reported by National Science Foundation News, National Science Foundation Discovery Files, Cardiac Wire, HealthToday, and many others.

Jul. 2023 – Dr. Lu gave an invited talk at The 23rd IEEE International Conference on Nanotechnology at Jeju Island, South Korea.

Jun. 2023 – We're thrilled to receive our first 5-year $2.8M R01 grant from National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) with our collaborator Dr. Igor Efimov (Northwestern University) to develop advanced cardiac devices for chronic investigating heart failure pathogenesis! We greatly appreciate this support from NIH NHLBI!

Apr. 2023 – Zhiyuan, Nathaniel, and Xinyu presented their research in the SEAS R&D Showcase. Zhiyuan has been awarded the special GW Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Commercialization Prize for his presentation.

Apr. 2023 – Our invited Review paper entitled "Recent progress on transparent microelectrode based soft bioelectronic devices for neuroscience and cardiac research" has been accepted for publication by ACS Applied Bio Materials.

Oct. 2021 – Jinbi won the 3rd place in the Undergraduate Rapid Fire Competition from the Society of Women Engineers, big congratulations and well deserved!

Jun. 2021 – Our collaborative research paper on stretchable transparent microelectrodes for biointerfacing has been accepted for publication by Photonics. This is the first publication from our group led by an undergraduate student! Big congratulations, Jinbi, Zhiyuan, and Sofian!

Jun. 2021 – Dr. Lu organized four live technical sessions on wearable and flexible electronic and photonic technologies with colleagues from Penn State University and University of Connecticut at the virtual 239th Electrochemical Society Meeting.
